센텔라 정량 추출물(TECA)로 불리우며 각종 의약품 및 기능성 화장품 주성분으로 사용된다. 센텔라 추출물과의 차이점은 센텔라 정량 추출물은 센텔라 추출물을 고유 기법으로 추출한 것으로 유효성분만을 고농축으로 얻은 성분이라는 점이다. 즉, 센텔라 추출물에 증류수가 포함되지 않은 순수한 파우더 형태로 얻어진, 오로지 유효성분이 고형분된 성분이다.
TECA는 센텔라 유래 3가지 테르펜(terpenes)으로 구성되어 하기와 같다:
아시아틱애시드(30%w/w), 마데카식애시드(30%w/w), 아시아티코사이드(40%w/w)
